An exquisite vintage leather deed/writing box is estimated to be from around 1860. It is made from stunning black leather and features solid brass hardware. The box securely fastens with a top quality BRAMAH lock, although it does not come with a key. Inside, you will find ink and light, as well as two metal nibbed pens and a removable tray. This particular box belonged to Joseph Crawford Davies, an accountant from Wales in 1861, as shown in the attached picture.
