An exquisite vintage leather cartridge case by William Evans (with J.Purdey&Sons) - perhaps the finest makers of cartridge cases in the world! Circa 1885. This is made from gorgeous brown leather which has aged and patinated wonderfully and is complemented by the warm solid brass hardware. The case retains its internal slats for holding cartridges and its makers label "William Evans, Gun & Rifle manufacturer. Late with J. Purdey & Sons. 63, Pall Mall London". It remains ready to use and enjoy. A fabulous and attractive piece!
