An extraordinary and exceptional vintage suitcase made by the renowned leather goods manufacturer W & J Milne, established in 1844 and granted the Royal Warrant by Queen Victoria. It is estimated to be from around 1870, making it quite rare. The suitcase is crafted from top-quality crocodile leather, featuring a sturdy original handle and solid brass nickel-plated hardware. It has a beautiful patina that adds to its charm. The interior has been re-lined with sky blue watersilk, and the maker's name, "W & J Milne makers to the Queen. Edinburgh," is stamped inside. The top of the case is adorned with the gothic characters "B.K.G." Absolutely charming and rare piece !
